About the mark you leave

You can share at any age, without creating an account or leaving any contact details. If you want to opt into the recognitions, we will ask for your year of birth and your email, only to write to you if your contribution is selected; it is never published. When required because of the year given, the authorisation must be given by your mother, father or legal guardian.

What happens to what you send

The non-profit initiative Global Startup Cities drives IA YAYA. The data controller is Global StartupCities, tax ID G74460304. You can write to us at arturo.villar@globalstartupcities.com.

We use your contribution to manage your participation in IA YAYA and the 0.01 Movement and to learn about the know-how and experiences you want to share. If you leave your email, we will use it only to write to you if your contribution is selected and to manage its weekly, monthly or annual recognition. Contact details are optional for sharing; we only need them for that recognition. If you mark in the form that you want your contribution to be eligible for recognition, we will use your year of birth to know your age band; it is kept with your contribution for the same period and deleted with it. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Without the contribution and your consent we cannot receive your participation through this form.

We will not publish your contribution or your contact details, or send you invitations to meetings, without asking your permission separately. Do not include other people’s personal details or information about health, beliefs, sex life or other private matters.

We use Tally as the form provider and data processor. Tally states that it stores responses in Europe and uses providers to deliver the service. Its agreement covers international transfers where necessary, with the safeguards required by law. Processing terms: tally.so/help/data-processing-agreement. Tally privacy notice: tally.so/help/privacy-policy.

We will keep your contribution and, if you leave it, your contact email for a maximum of 12 months from submission, or until you ask for deletion where applicable. After deletion, technical copies may remain with the provider for up to 90 days, according to Tally’s information.

You can ask for access, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, portability and, where applicable, objection. You can also withdraw your consent, without affecting lawful use before withdrawal. Write to arturo.villar@globalstartupcities.com; if you left no contact details, give us enough information to find your contribution, without sending unnecessary data. You can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

We meet

The idea: meeting in person and sharing it face to face. Open to everyone who contributes, starting with the winners of each week, each month and each year.

A movement open to everyone.

IA YAYA brings together artificial intelligence and the warmth of a "yaya", an affectionate Spanish word for grandmother. AI is that infinite 99.999; the 0.01 is infinite too. Both are symbols, not statistics. What is human will always be what identifies us.

The name is a loving play on words: "yaya" replaces "iaia" to create IA YAYA, which stands not for the 99.9% but for that uncountable 0.01%. It is what we call the "grandmother's knot": the affection, the crafts of care and the shared memories that no machine can replicate, like that childhood memory of how our grandmother lovingly tied our shoelaces. That "grandmother's knot" is never forgotten.

IA YAYA starts from a simple idea: what we know, remember and have lived also counts. Sharing it and talking about it can help us learn together. It is a virtual, global movement: you can join from anywhere, with the QR or the link.

The 0.01 bridge

From sharing something of yours to meeting face to face.

That only happens between people.
No machine can live it for you.
The sticker-cards example

A child sorts his sticker cards into several piles so they do not bend. It seems silly, but it is his own trick, lived. When he tells it, another person learns and tells theirs. From the simplest to the deepest: everything is welcome.

Meet

And then, talk face to face.

This is the movement’s intention: to create moments where people meet, one to one or in groups. When one person tells and another listens, learning, ideas and even projects can arise. No screen or programme replaces that meeting. There are no dates or places yet.

Recognition

We want to recognise contributions.

We want to recognise contributions every week, every month and every year, including virtually. We will soon share how.

Origin

Where it comes from.

The 0.01 movement is born from IA YAYA, the proposal we submitted to the KNOWCASE call by the Cotec Foundation and Sónar+D. That call set us in motion, and the movement keeps going. Thank you to the Cotec Foundation and Sónar+D for giving us that push.

The 0.01 Movement is a project of Asturias50, launched from maréaTE. Thank you to Special Thanks Studios for the collaboration with which this idea began.
